Even though the sun will at last be breaking dawns again from the first day of the one thousand-year reign, still at least the first one hundred years will for sure still look like the apocalypse. The buildings will be rubble, the highways will be broken, and the vegetation will grow in the cracked highways and grow over. So all over the earth this is how it would look at least for the first one hundred years of the thousand-year reign. All this while in the city of Jerusalem the construction of Ezekiel's vision for the new temple and the whole city of Jerusalem as a whole will be under way. The future of Ezekiel's temple and of Jerusalem in the thousand-year reign are explained in detail in Ezekiel chapters 40-48.
This website believes the population left on earth after the three and one-half year great tribulation will be estimating about 26.67 million persons left who have survived the great tribulation and had not taken the "mark of the beast". Revelation 13:16-18. For man will be as scarce as "fine gold" (Isaiah 13:12-13); "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." Matthew 24:22. These people left alive will live on into the thousand-year reign and it is the belief by this website that the people will live to be a thousand years-old as their lifespans. And they will repopulate the earth for the one-thousand years as Satan will be bound in the "bottomless pit" for all those years until he is loosed for a short season after the thousand years to deceive some in the world again as stated in Revelation 20:1-3&7-9.
Jesus Christ will be reigning during this time but will not always be on the earth as for sometimes Jesus will inhabit heaven meaning the third heaven in which time it will be king David who will reign on earth during those times as Jesus not being present on the earth. Isaiah 9:7. Also these are times when the lion can lay with the calf as in Isaiah 11:6-9 although there still will be animal sacrifices during the thousand-year reign for certain remembrances as described in Ezekiel chapters 45:21&25 referring to the feasts of passover in the Spring and tabernacles in the Fall.
The people born during the thousand-year reign will not know what had happened on the earth before the thousand-year reign had begun in regards to the great tribulation and the second coming of Jesus Christ. So in essence these people born during the thousand-year reign will be told by the elder people what had happened and some sacrifices will be in remembrance. They will be told about all and many things including about the "mark of the beast" and the calamities that had happened to the earth. Even with this there will eventually be some dissent and disgruntledness by some of these new born about the thousand-year reign and some of the rules. Certain crimes though committed will be dealt with by Jesus who will rule with a "rod of iron" and certain criminals will be instantly put to death. Revelation 19:15. One of the rules will be that a once a year requirement will be instituted that at least once a year one must make a trek to Jerusalem as requirement as in Zechariah 14:16. Now evidently if one does not fulfill this requirement then there will be a punishment and possible banishment from Jerusalem for the rest of the thousand years.
The Bible says in Ezekiel 39:9-10 that for the first seven years the people will be able to use the gasoline out of vehicles for fuel and maybe even use some vehicles, but after those first seven years of the thousand-year reign it is apparent that the gas will run out and the batteries for the vehicles will be dead. Also the industry of the pharmaceuticals will go down for as per the Bible the fruit of trees will not rot, and the leafs will be used as medicine as in Ezekiel 47:12. And it is to be noted that the factories of the old Satanic world system will not be running again or the utility or energy sectors for the electricity of the old time; or of oil refineries. For that means no spare parts! If a child born in the thousand-year reign were to be walking in the rubble or the old broken buildings then they could find a cigarette lighter and they could flick it and what would they think.
Note: the figure 26.67 million people as being left on earth is calculated by the inference of the various calamities which take place during the great tribulation:
1. Very many have to die from the result of the two asteroids at the beginning of the great tribulation being the second and third trumpets. One asteroid in the Pacific ocean; another asteroid in north Russia. Revelation 8:8-11. (Goto page on this website: "Asteroids of the 2nd and 3rd Trumpets").
2. One-fourth of the world's population die from the four horses riding throughout the great tribulation from the first four seals that are opened. Revelation 6:8.
3. One-third of the people on top of that die from the 200 million-man army out of the kings of the east. Revelation 9:15-18.
4. On top of that all the armies that gathered for Armageddon get killed at the second coming at the end of the three and one-half year great tribulation. Revelation 19:11-21.
5. Many get martyred by beheading who don't receive the mark of the beast. Revelation 20:4.
One figure that was come up with was 120 million persons left but that was screeched at by the angels for that implies all those ones did not receive the mark of the beast.
So the figure came down as such: with 8 billion people currently on the earth then multiply this by one-third percent being the figure .003333333 and the answer would be 26.67 million persons left on earth to go forward to inhabit the one thousand-year reign. Man on the earth will be as scarce as pure gold.
