FALSE PROPHET--ANTICHRIST

Some of the references about the False Prophet:

In the manifestitation to come: both the beast, and the false prophet enter the world scene before the period of the great tribulation being 1290 days (three and one-half years). The false prophet will first enact a war starting in Iraq; then to begin the great tribulation by stopping the sacrifices at the temple setting in Jerusalem for "reason of transgression"; the beast to be revealed by committing the "transgression of desolation". (Daniel 8:12-13). This begins the Great Tribulation, Satan will know his time is short, and will go forth to destroy many.

False Prophet mentioned in the Old Testament

In the Book of Daniel, Daniel has a vision of a ram which had two horns. The two horns were high, except one was higher than the other. These two horns represented the Media-Persia empire with Cyrus of the Persian empire being dominant (the higher horn). And it became great. (Paraphrased Daniel 8:1-3).

Then Daniel had a vision of a goat, and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. The notable horn represented Alexander the Great of the Greek empire. And the goat killed the ram. And the goat was very great. (Paraphrased Daniel 8:5-7).

And then the horn of the goat broke when it was strong, and four notable horns came forth. After Alexander the Great died at the age of thirty-three, the empire was divided into four sections between four of Alexander's generals.

False Prophet--"And out of one of them (of the four) came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land." (Geographically implying he will come from land of Assyria).
"And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them." ("host" implying alien agenda by Satan).
"Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down."
"And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised and prospered." (Daniel 8:9-12).

"And in the latter time of their kingdom (of the four: {1. Macedonia, Greece, Thrace}; {2. Egypt}; {3. Asia Minor, Syria, Lebanon, Israel}; or {4. Iraq, Kurdistan, Persia, Afghanistan, Pakistan}), when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up." ("transgressors" implying the ISIS invaders).
"And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people."
"And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand." (Daniel 8:23-25).

False Prophet mentioned in the New Testament

"And I beheld another beast (false prophet) coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon."
"And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed."
"And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And he deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by the sword, and did live."
"And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed."
"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:"
"And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
"Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six". (Revelation 13:11-18).
